Under the Rising Harvest Moon, Another Harvest Dinner for the Books

Posted: September 26, 2018

Under the light of the rising Harvest Moon, last Saturday marked another memorable Harvest Dinner – a beautiful evening punctuated by exceptional wines, delicious pairings, and great conversation.

It started with a reception in our Pairing Garden, which featured music by Free Peoples and tastes of 2017 Josephine and 2015 Oakville Reserve to set the tone for a relaxed and dreamy evening. Once seated at the dinner table, under the lights and between the vines, guests enjoyed a four-course feast prepared by the inimitable Chef Jessica Lasky. The meal saw epic pairings with some of our favorite bounties of vintages past, the highlights of which we’re still debating at the winery – was it the crispy quail paired with our 2017 Josephine Sauvignon Blanc, or the coffee and chile-rubbed venison paired with 2015 Black Label Cabernet Sauvignon and 2012 Leopoldina Cabernet Sauvignon? We may never arrive at a clear winner, but we will still dream about it.

Just as we craft our wines to capture a moment in time and place, we curate this event to do the very same. We look forward to this occasion to take a pause from the everyday, enjoy our own moment in time and place, and connect with the individuals whose support allows us to continue doing what we do best: making exceptional wine.

We are happy to say that this year’s Harvest Dinner lived up to its anticipation, and we can’t wait to start the planning for Harvest Dinner 2019.

Stay true.
