Posted: December 29, 2017

Part Two of The Wine Advocate’s highly anticipated Napa Valley report is out, and we are celebrating their reviews of our 2015 vintage wines.

This is the first year that The Napa Valley Report was primarily conducted by recently-appointed Editor In Chief, Lisa Perrotti-Brown, and we are humbled to be one of this year’s standout producers.

Praise from The Wine Advocate for our ’15 vintage:

2015 has proven itself to be an outstanding vintage. Unseasonably warm temperatures in the late winter and early spring, coupled with a colder-than-usual month of May, resulted in an earlier harvest and a smaller crop. This prompted what we consider to be a true winemaker’s vintage: this ripe, and small crop allowed us the opportunity and time to vinify block by block to justly capture the unique expressions and nuances of this special vintage. A showcase in the art of winemaking, these wines excite with incredible freshness and intensity, while displaying a prettiness of uncommon purity

“Our long obsession with quality and excellence in every vintage, both in our farming and winemaking, is no secret,” says Winemaker Peter Heitz. “It’s great to see the entirety of our program receive this kind of recognition.”

“We stand for producing consistently incredible wines that are of the highest quality, thanks to our estate vineyards that give us some of the most beautiful fruit in the Napa Valley,” says our second generation vintner and general manager Zoe Johns. “We’re proud to have both our longtime fans and new advocates that are seeking out our world-class, collectible wines.”
